VetAmi is a pet health passport application developed and operated in Pakistan. We provide digital vaccination record management for pet owners and verification tools for veterinary clinics.

2. What Data We Collect

We collect the following information when you use VetAmi:

• Account information — your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase authentication)
• Profile information — your name, phone number, city, and gender (optional fields)
• Pet information — pet name, species, breed, date of birth, sex, and profile photo
• Vaccination records — vaccine names, dates, dose numbers, and uploaded sticker photos
• Clinic information — if you register as a clinic, your clinic name, address, phone, and logo
• Device information — your device's FCM token for sending push notifications
• Usage data — basic app usage to help us improve the service

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account
• To store and display your pet's vaccination records
• To allow linked clinics to verify your vaccine records
• To send you push notifications for vaccination reminders and verification updates
• To generate PDF vaccination certificates on your request
• To allow you to message your linked clinic through the app
• To improve app performance and fix issues

4. Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only with the following trusted services required to operate the app:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your data is stored on Supabase servers.
• Firebase (Google) — used for push notifications only. Your device token is used to deliver reminders to your phone.
• Linked clinics — when you link a clinic, that clinic can view your pets and their vaccine records. You control which clinics you link.

We do not share your data with advertisers, government agencies, or any third parties beyond those listed above.

5. Vaccine Sticker Photos

When you upload a vaccine sticker photo, VetAmi processes it using on-device text recognition to extract information such as brand name and expiry date. This extracted data is stored anonymously for the purpose of improving vaccine record accuracy and market research. The extracted data is not linked to your identity in any reports or analysis.

6. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure. We use Row Level Security (RLS) policies to ensure that each user can only access their own data. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data through the app's profile edit screen
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting us at vetami.noreply@gmail.com
• Unlink any clinic at any time through the app
• Turn off push notifications through your device settings

8. Children's Privacy

VetAmi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of VetAmi after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
